Boundary Waters & Quetico Base Camp Package

This package is designed for groups who do not want to portage very often, but instead want to set up a base camp in the Boundary Waters or Quetico Park.  The extra items included in this package will provide added comfort in the canoe country wilderness. Since the group will do very little traveling and portaging, the package has a few added comforts of home and the equipment will be bulkier and heavier than traditional canoe camping equipment. This package includes everything the Standard Expedition Package does, plus a full length Thermarest pad, table, chairs, canoe seat backs, a two burner propane stove, hammock, screen tent and fresh food items.

All of our Complete Outfitting Packages include a routing session prior to your trip complete with a Boundary Waters map. The routing session will cover how to use the equipment that comes with this particular package, how to paddle and portage a canoe and where to find the best camp sites. We will even show you our favorite fishing hot spots. We provide a private bunkhouse for your group the night before your trip, a hot pancake breakfast the morning of your trip, and use of the shower house after your trip.

Almost everything is provided in our completely outfitted packages except for clothes, personal items, toiletries, fishing gear, permits, fishing licenses and park fees.  We can reserve a permit for you at the time you place your reservation and we can help you get a fishing license when you check in. Again, you only need to bring your personal articles and we will provide you with everything else you might need, including a trip preparation packet that we will send to you via e-mail prior to your trip. This packet contains important wilderness travel information as well as a suggested pack list.
